What book is the best book ever?

In my opinion, the novel Holes by Louis Sachar is the best book ever. I have many reasons to support my opinion. One reason why this is the best novel is because it is the first book I have ever read. I was 11 years old and it was a relatively easy book for me to read, but this did not diminish the meaning of its plot. I found it very interesting how the young boy had to go to prison (juvenile hall) even though he was innocent. Another reason why this book is the best ever is because it is very inspirational. It is inspirational because Stanley's father tries his whole life to figure out a way to make the odor of shoes to be gone. Although it takes him many years to discover the way, he finally does. Nobody should ever give up.

  1. Several students have mentioned enjoying this book, guess I will have to give it a try sometime. Such a sad situation, people who are innocent of the crimes they are punished for--there was a Broadway play entitled "The Exhonerated" about this topic (based upon real life stories). So sad!

  2. Very cool. I started that book but never got to finishing it. I heard from other people that it was really interesting. Did you see the movie?
